The Standard, designed by architect Morris Adjmi, targets Millennials on the move, and on the rise. It is the fourth building in the South Market District, a $450-million mixed-use, transit-oriented development, with 89 available units.
The 15-story building on Julia Street’s Gallery Row is in the center of NOLA’s historic Arts and Warehouse Districts. Adjmi’s forward-thinking design speaks to the classic nature of the city, without being derivative. Custom walnut-finish cabinetry is milled by local craftspeople, and bathrooms feature Mosaic Statuario herringbone tile. Hand-laid, sawn-cut white oak flooring provides light and ballast, consciously considering both form and function, with an eye toward warmth and comfort.
